В рамках реализации национального проекта «Здоровье» и исполнения Федерального закона «О донорстве крови и ее компонентов» от 20.07.2012 № 125-ФЗ, перед Центром крови ФМБА России стоит ряд задач, призванных обеспечить контроль и безопасность технологических процессов в сфере донорства крови и ее компонентов, а так же хранение данных миллионов доноров крови и ее компонентов.
Для решения данных задач была создана федеральная государственная информационная система — «Единая информационная база по реализации мероприятий, связанных с обеспечением безопасности донорской крови и ее компонентов, развитием, организацией и пропагандой донорства крови и ее компонентов» (ЕИБД). Данная система зарегистрированной в установленном порядке в соответствующем реестре.
